S2000 Forced Induction S2000 Turbocharging and S2000 supercharging, for that extra kick.

Would you be wary of this?

...but you get what you pay for.

I paid like $1320 for it. It's not like I got it for peanuts you know... $1320 is not a drop in the bucket for me good sir.
I didn't say you didn't. I'm saying you got it on sale and you were warned prior that it was previously opened, which is why you didn't receive one in brand new condition. It looks like it was plugged in temporarily (why the tape was off) to verify a sensor wasn't bad or something like that on a customers car.

You paid for a NEW item and got a used one, return it and get your money back. I would take your business elsewhere. Just wondering, who did you buy it from?

I would be pissed, they clearly tried to pull a fast one on you with that sticker, return it and buy it new from somewhere else, to that seller

No, No, No, I was not warned prior to buying it that it was opened. I was told after I got it today and asked the seller about it. Where did you read that I was warned?

I was under the impression that I was paying for a BRAND NEW one the entire time until I got it today. Who cares if it was on sale? Vendors have sales all the time... does that mean it's ok to sell s2kiers used parts just because they are having a sale?

I'd explain calmly your concern with the item to the vendor and tell them that since the tape seal has been broken, it's officially a used product, and you are not going to pay new price for a used product. Ask them which option they want to go ahead with, refund you some of your money, full refund and you return EMS or swap it for a new one.

By them putting the tape over the plug-in I feel like that is them trying to pull a fast one on you. If they don't cooperate I would put them on blast here on S2ki. I've seen vendors banned for shady dealings on here before, and I'm sure it would hurt business a good bit if they were to receive a similar treatment.

Balls in their court, they are at fault, not you. You shouldn't have to pay (literally) for their screw up.

Just playing devils advocate here ...

it's not uncommon for that do not remove sticker to sort of curl up, especially if its been on the shelf for a while. If it has been used then you may be able to see signs of it being plugged in.. the inside of the connectors scratched. I also wouldn't be surprised if they peeled that sticker back when just looking at it. For some reason people always want to look at the connector.. not sure what they think they are seeing.

I dont believe aem ships the ems with a calibration loaded.. you could always see if there is a calibration loaded into the ems.
