S2000 Forced Induction S2000 Turbocharging and S2000 supercharging, for that extra kick.

Would you be wary of this?

...but you get what you pay for.

I paid like $1320 for it. It's not like I got it for peanuts you know... $1320 is not a drop in the bucket for me good sir.
I didn't say you didn't. I'm saying you got it on sale and you were warned prior that it was previously opened, which is why you didn't receive one in brand new condition. It looks like it was plugged in temporarily (why the tape was off) to verify a sensor wasn't bad or something like that on a customers car.

No, No, No, I was not warned prior to buying it that it was opened. I was told after I got it today and asked the seller about it. Where did you read that I was warned?

I was under the impression that I was paying for a BRAND NEW one the entire time until I got it today. Who cares if it was on sale? Vendors have sales all the time... does that mean it's ok to sell s2kiers used parts just because they are having a sale?

Ok fair enough, I thought they told you straight up before you bought it.

I can see where your coming from, but in my opinion I wouldn't worry about it. It doesn't seem like its worth going back and forth over with a vendor for, especially if there turns out to be nothing wrong with it.

There's really nothing to go back & forth about, if they are an honest vendor they will have no problem with him sending it back for brand new unit, or refund.. Trust me you will sleep better at night

This is a good idea. Load it up and see if anything is on the EMS. I'm pretty sure you can't wipe a unit clean, just upload a new tune to it. So if there's a calibration already in the memory than you'll know it's been used before. If not, then I wouldn't worry about it

Well, I got an email from them today.

They would have had no problem getting me a new sealed one. It would just take time for the exchange and I don't feel like wasting mine and their time with this.

I think I'm gonna just bite the bullet here and just keep it. I'm putting my faith and my car in their hands. They are a great vendor and I've never heard or read anything bad about them. This was just a small slip up/mistake. I told them to make sure to inform people FIRST next time.

Thanks everyone, I just wanted to know if I was being crazy.

I would ask for a return or a refund..I bought one a couple of months ago and it was NIB for $1100. Not seeing a big savings there for what might be or not be problems...peace of mind is worth the shipping.

Yea wtf???

Why are you trying not to "inconvenience" them?

You paid for new

You did not receive new

I would be sending that back in a heart beat, and they'd be paying shipping BOTH ways

You paid top dollar for new, and deserve a new one.

Sure it may look OK, but who knows what's been done with it?!?! It's not like you can see internal problems. Imagine you get everything installed in your car and it fails 6 months later? Then what?

Not trying to sound like a dick here, but grow a set, and send that shit back!

You don't know the thing is used.. and electronics do not wear out.. if they don't work they don't work.

Taken out of the box to look at doesn't mean used
