Default XTD clutch kit for s2000?

Hi guys,

Looking to replace my clutch on my s2k... im doing a turbo build later in the year but my clutch is absolutely battered atm and needs replacing. Basically i dont want to put a twin plate in so looking at cheap alternatives for now... whats everyones input on the XTD clutch kits? There is a few of them at staggering prices! and ive googled them and heard some good reviews?

They have the Stage 3 ceramic and Stage 4 and a few others?

Due to the price i have obvious concerns... but will they do the job? NA bog standard for now until i put car in for build later in the year?

No don't cheap out on the clutch or you'll be doing it again in a few months. They are junk. IF wanting cheap the competition clutches are really cheap and definitely much better than any of those ebay ones.

My Competition stage 4 clutch holds up just fine and isn't difficult to drive with.

Like Moddiction said, never cheap out on critical parts like a clutch.

I've had a few friends use them with no problems at all. What power are you looking to make? My brother ran a stage 3 on his vr4 with 440lbs of torque for a bit but its giving out now after 5k miles. Hit or miss i guess.

Im completely bog standard.

I will only be using the clutch for stock power for around 5-6 months until my car goes in for a turbo build.

Then ill be replacing the clutch with a twin plate clutch... obviously i dont want to put a twin plate in now lol

Why not put the twin disc in now? Makes no sense to put a crappy one in for a few months. Gives you time to break in clutch as well.

Why spend the money on a clutch you know you're replacing, AND paying/spending time installing a clutch twice? Do it once. Do it right. Follow that mantra and you'll be much happier.
