Default Yet another Lovefab mani down

Well it finally happend. Atleast it took a little over a year for it to crack. I'm taking some of the fault as this was the first winter I have run the car (last year I was in Iraq) and I didn't check EGTs. This is the V1 or mini-me manifold, here are some pics.

Damn that sucks bro.
How did you notice the crack?
Did you hear it leaking or notice a change in performance
Sorry for the noob question.

-is there any way your downpipe was contacting the frame rail? seems to be the cause of these failures.
-did you ever have any bolts loosen up on you?
I have the same mani and have problems with bolts loosening. after safety wiring them a couple of mani to head nuts back out and one snapped off. i think my engine is rocking enough for the downpipe to contact the rame rail. im debating on going with an engine limiting strap or custom dampner that will work with this setup. the downpipe has around an inch clearance when the engine is off.

I'm not about to send it back to Cody. To many welds of his have failed, why would I put a bandaid on a broken leg. The downpipe didn't hit anything, there where 0 rattles and no vibrations. I noticed the crack after poping the hood and seeing soot all over my valve cover.

Those welds look a bit undercut to me.

Sorry to hear that Brian, it sucks having to take out the entire turbo setup. Mine cracked way worse than that, but Cody welded it all again. I'm pretty sure mine was due to the rattling at the time though.

dn't blame the crack on the coldness and weather change. If something is created the right way, it wouldn't matter if it was -50 degrees outside. I'm having drastic changes of temp here in NY and my manifold hasn't cracked nor shows signs of ever cracking
