MY00 @ 72K miles, CTSC @ 7psi for about 2000 miles roughly a year ago and only had a slight oil leak from the drain hose due to me over tightening it, had the fitting replaced and never had a problem since.

2001 S2000
Comptech SC/AC
750cc RC injectors
3.6" Science of Speed pulley @ 10psi
Exhaust + supporting modifications

Ran around on stock boost tuned by a VAFC II for a few years. No major problems. After doing a lot of reading a research, I decided to jump to an AEM EMS and tune it myself. 2 people on this forum (whom shall remain nameless unless they choose to fess up) were instrumental to my success in that he helped me really understand the theory of EFI tuning. They also helped me with some of the more complicated quirks the AEM software has. I am running around on stock compression at more than 10psi and I have very few complaints. I have done numerous track days on the setup and I worry more about tires and brakes than I do about my tune or engine reliability.

Kraftwerks high boost kit professionally installed by Mr.Honda(Blake Automotive) 1k miles ago. No leaks,no problems runs smooth as a baby's ass and fast as my C6.I changed the plugs to one step colder NGK for piece of mind other than that nothing needed to be done.Only small issue is slightly longer start (crank) when the car sits after its warmed up (more annoying than an actually problem).Should be addressed in the future (re-flash update).I love my car more than ever before, this upgrade is 100 percent worth the $'s spent.Next CR suspension upgrade and Color coordinated Alcantara trimmed interior.

About a month ago I had my mechanic install a Vortech Supercharger, Vortech fuel pump, 750 cc injectors, intercooler, larger headers, 3" exhaust, wideband, and AEM EMS. He only got 368 rwhp on his dyno (I think his A/F ratio was a little too rich because of an insane amount of carbon build up on the bumper, it's at his shop now being looked at). After seeing other people's numbers on s2ki I would definately have gone with a turbo setup and a tiny shot of nos to help spool the turbo. I knew when I bought the Vortech that the numbers would be better with a turbo, but I didn't realize how much better. I went with the only mechanic that specializes in Honda/Acura in my town with a dyno who is also supposed to be AEM certified and the service sucks, if I did it again I would take it to a larger city with a more reputable tuner, or at least to a tuner that doesn't tell me it will be done next week every time I check on him for about four months and still gives me a crappy tune. Also had an exhaust leak, you can taste it when you riding in my car, and must not have adjusted the SC belt right because it got messed up after only about 500 miles on a new belt. What he charges seemed reasonable at the time.

I would definately recommend trying to install any complete kit (Greddy, Comptech, Vortech, Kraftwerks etc...). Try to recruit some friends to help if you are unsure about it. It can definately be done. that way, if you have problems you will know what to check, you will save money, and you will learn A LOT about your car.

Four months to install a Vortech SC, exhaust, EMS and supporting mods. I got a feeling your car just sat in his shop for months. He probably drove it to get lunch everyday!!

sorry to hear about your bad experience wsu s2k.

368whp is pretty damn good for a vortech. What psi are you running? You could probably get close to 400 with good tuning and 10psi of boost.

I was comptech w/ac 3.875" pulley, about 11.2 max psi at 9250rpm's 750injectors, AEM EMS, 70mm exhaust, no cat. I had 4.56 gears as well (unrelated of course, but just for refrence) I didnt have any problems with the setup other than always being paranoid about hearing different sounds now and then, the car just had little quirks, but it ran fine, but it burned more than 1qt of oil a month after 38,000 miles of burning almost no oil. Adding 150+hp to the car most likley had something to do with it. The car was fast yes, but the s/c didnt do what i was looking for it to do. I probally would have been more happy with a conservative turbo than pushing a S/C setup pretty far. I went back to stock and sold the car after about 9 months S/C.

When I was looking at kits I wanted something easy to install so I could do it myself so I bought the Vortech kit, but after not getting around to it for a really long time I gave up and took it to a shop to have the Vortech kit installed for me. I figured since I took it to a shop I might as well go ahead and buy a few other parts while I was there, that way I would only have to pay for one tune. In hindsight I should have just planned to get a turbo kit and have it installed by a professional.

Ya, I think total time he spent on my car was a couple of days.

As far as what psi, I don't know. It's just the pulley that came with the Vortech kit. 10 psi? That sounds interesting, I'll have to look into that.
