Very impressive results from working with zero clearance. Spool up is very quick.

You have to have that sort of control when breaking those in.
The blades actually cut themselves on the wall as they heat up so that they're a perfect fit at temperature. You have to bring them up to heat slowly, because you want a gradual shaving, not bending and shearing. Skip any steps or try and rush it and you'll end up with a poorly performing unit or worst case an expensive paper weight.
we used a unit of that design for a project here at work for a marine application.
Sadly, I tried to get them to order me one as well, but they poo-poo'd the idea.
