I haven't had an issue but she doesn't ride with me very often. I'de say its been half a dozen times in the last year. Though keeping the leather reconditioned helps a ton!

I put a towel on my seat so my dog's nails aren't a problem. She actually sits very still when the car is moving. I have to hold her when we stop if there is another dog near by
