950 hp s2000

first of all intercooler pipes blowing off under high boost is very common, especially among supras/2jz's. secondly, probably the reason why he said "it CAN do 950whp" is because that dyno was on 30psi; depending on the turbo size (its probably nothing smaller than a 76mm) you can run as much as 60psi (HUGE turbo though, way bigger than this). the thing is, this turbo can probably run 35+ psi of boost, which would put it around 950whp. IMO, he was just saying "once the motor is in perfectly tuned/running condition AT MAX BOOST (higher than 30psi) it will make 950whp.
no need to flame the guy, he's basically just saying that it has more power left in it than that
edit: also, to those who say this is a dyno queen and a 500whp car will run faster (in a 1/4 mile) probably don't know much about drag racing. with the right suspension/tire/driver setup, the 950whp S2000 will be faster than the 500whp S2000.

I always love how people have a car that has dyno's at lets say 450rwhp. They always claim though that it is a 650rwhp car to all their friends and on the internet even though it has NEVER broken 450rwhp. Their justification is that their calculations will put it at the 650rwhp mark.
I love it more when they realize that obtaining the 650rwhp mark isn't as easy as they thought, and it actually never ends up there.
And quite frankly, 850rwhp in an s2000 is going to do nothing more than slow the car down around a track. I bet a 500rwhp s2k could beat it around a track and quite possibly win in a 1/4 mile.

around a track it will not be as fast as the 500whp s2k, duh. how bout u go on the highway and race, the 500whp s2k will get its ass kicked as long as the 900whp s2k can hook up. the owner of the car most likely will never put it no a raod course where you are trying to get fast lap times. i am sure the owner wants a car that can go REALLY fast in a straight line
different strokes for different folks.

thank you for living in the real world.how many people actually go out and get on a road course and try to get fast lap times? if they do it is only a few times. ofcourse there are the dedicated track junkies who go very often. most drivers like to race in a straight line against other cars. they also like to take it out to the back roads/twisties and have fun. i think that is more realistic
not hating/flamng. i think i am being more realistic.

I would think that anything more than 500hp in an S2K would be as out of control as a Mercedes 55AMG. Those things cant put the power to the pavement in any condition
