If you are asking a serious question then the answer to your question is "Yes" I am very happy to say that the restraint system I have installed in my car saved me from serious injury - I have a Sparco 5 point harness attached to a 5 point Cusco roll cage with Sparco Rev's bucket seats - I walked away without a scratch and am lucky to be here If your comment was meant to be sarcastic you will be removed from my Christmas card list!

wasn't meant to be sarcastic at all.....it just blows me away that people consciously remove that feature on street driven cars.

Glad you're ok none the less.

I see your point but the airbag has barely been around for twenty years and cars have been screaming down our streets for over 100. People have been doing just fine without them for years.

Yes airbags are smart and saves lives but I can site just as many instances of them lighting people on fire with chemical reactions and ripping the skin off thier faces as them saving the driver from death or serious injury. It is not a fail safe device by any means.

Race cars do not have airbags.

There is no substitute for a top notch restraint system. Retail cars are concerned with comfort not function. The reason a standard, unmodified car needs an SRS system is that the normal consumer will not be bothered by a 5 point harness, race seats with head holders and 5 or 7 point rollcages. They can barely muster the effort to use a standard seat belt.

Nick's car was balls to the wall track equipped, nothing was spared, and that is probably what saved his and his girl's life.

Just my $.37

That was one of the finest S2Ks on the planet.

Glad you're okay, and I hope you build another amazing car.
