What issues are you having with the tape? The 3M adhesion primer made for the tape works wonders.

it just doesnt stick- im pretty particular about fitment, and there is a gap when the tape doesnt stick.

i am having the same problem and I am planning on using a little dremel action and thining that part and use a touch up paint to cover up the boo boo. Hopefully it works

if you dremel the underside of the kit as opposed to the painted surface you wont need to touch anything up. Looks like this is an issue a few of us are dealing with. At least i know i didnt get a faulty set-

The adhesive primer creates an ultra strong bond with the tape. It's clear, relatively inexpensive and should be used with all installations of this type. You'll be surprised at the difference.
