it just means the shifter arm goes inside the shift knob. it screws on and goes inside the shift knob. i have the spoon, and i'm thinking of trading it in for this one. i have big hands and the spoon is a little small for me. this looks bigger.

oh, and for anyone who lives where it's hot (i live in Vegas), this knob doesn't get very hot. i haven't had any issues with burning my hand yet. crosses fingers.

The MUGEN one is not countersunk and I like it very much, does the shifting feel any different ?

i havent put it on yet so i cant tell you....although just thinking about it I dont know why it would...some people say that there is a difference between a heavy shifter verses a light titanium version...although i dont see how if the knob is affixed to the shifter!

Yeah, this knob is exactly what I was looking for. I've had it on my car for 4 days now and I love it. ordered it from the guys at A&J on Monday, had it Wednesday morning!

It shortens the height of the knob just enough to notice the difference. Without the nut on there, the difference is probably 20 mm lower than stock.
