Depends what you're looking for. Typically, most people try to stick closest to stock; which means staggered setup (thin up front and wider in the rear) and high offsets. Double check, but I believe most people run the 17x7.5 +50 CE28N with either a 215 or 225 tire up front and the 17x9 +63 CE28N with either a 245 or 255 tire in the rear. If you want a more "stockish" profile on the tires go with the thinner ones (215 & 245) (which are also the stock tire sizes). If you want a "beefier" profile on the tires go with the wider ones (225 & 255).
However, if you want to try to replicate the "JDM way" of wheel/tire tuning the S2000, then you go with lower offsets and same wheel/tire width on all four corners. To do this though you do have to modify the fenders, which is why a lot of people don't do it. However, I know there are some who have run the 17x9 +63 offset on all four wheels without any clearance problems (although if you run a big brake kit, you might run into some clearance problems in the front).
My sizes/offsets are very extreme and require A LOT of modifications to the fenders (as you can see from the pictures!!). I am running 17x9.5 +47 with 255/40-17 on all fours.
Hope that helps! Shoot me a pm if you want any more info!
Sure man, once the car is done, I'm going to try to meet all the local guys and hang out!
Agreed, Diez went big time with his wheel setup. I can't believe you were also considering the 17x9.5 +40 (is that right?)
I think I've decided on 17x9 +54's. I hear they clear Spoon Calipers and don't rub. Seems like a good setup for a stock bodied S2000 (i.e. no fender widening) Wish I could run your set up or J's Racing's setup but I can't afford wheels brakes and the wider fender treatment all at the same time. Thanks again Diez.

I was considering 17x9 +40 (which is the Amuse setup). The 17x9.5 +47 end up sticking out even a bit more than the Amuse setup!
Hmmm. I just hunted down my old emails with the fellow S2k owner in Japan who I emailed regarding the setups and he told me that +54 would require some fender mods. He personally has run the +63, the +54 CE28ns and is now running the Enkei RPF1 17x9 +45 and said the only ones that require NO fender mods were the +63 CE28Ns.
Hmm, maybe if you ran 245 series tires, instead of 255s it would help?
Diez,
Are you going to be taking this car to the track? Part of me says I sure hope so after you spent all that money on CF parts, and there is another part of me that says I hope not because I'd hate to see the car get any damage of any kind.
As with everybody else, waiting patiently to see the finished product.

Honestly, I couldn't live with the car seeing routine track abuse. If I were to build a dedicated track car, I wouldn't pay that much attention to the details. With that said however, I would love to take it to the track to see what it (and I) can do! If only there were any real tracks here in south florida!
