I'm planning on just putting the airbag back in...
You can take the cover off the airbag and fit it back in the hole.

Worked for me on my race-car.

Although if you are riding fast with passengers I would leave them the benefit of the airbag safety

I thought about that but wouldn't the airbag light come on in the dash?

Of course but it will already when replacing the OEM steering wheel by a sports wheel...there you dont have an airbag anymore either.

Some systems provide a resistor to make the system "feel" ther eis still an airbag in.
I guess same procedure would work the passenger side.

Yep, my steering boss came with that device, but wouldn't know where to get that separately and how to do it for the passenger side...

I would GUESS (need to confirm by some electronic peps on here) you ned the sam value of resistance.

Usually the valu eis written on the resistor or you can measure it with a multimeter.

Are you going to race the car ?!

Racer her? No. But wouldn't mind taking her on some track days...
