Default Amuse R1 Update

I've had my Amuse R1 for a couple of weeks now, this thing just sounds wicked from 5k on up.

Anyway I took a look under the car tonight and though holy sh@t! I ordered the exhaust with bluing at the joints on the muffler and tip but nowhere else.

Man was I surprised, the piping has turned a wicked blue and purple everywhere except for the welds. The only place that has not turned is on the inside of the bend at the rear just before the muffler.

Anyway I shot a few pics, they're not great but you can at least see the color change.

Well I like exhausts that are loud but with a good tone, this thing is almost scary loud at light throttle in the lower RPM's, both on the throttle and off. From 4500 to redline though it completely changes tone, sounds like a big 4 cylinder street bike.

I've had it through a couple of tunnels and the sound is just awesome!

I would agree with some of the other posters on here about non-resonated exhausts . . . they are really loud

I guess that depends on the individual. This exhaust is very loud at light throttle form an idle to about 4k, it is very boomy, bassy sounding, from 4500 up it really start to sound real smooth and sound slike a big street bike up high.

Cruising through town it is pretty darn loud, on the road though I don't think it is all that loud (just me or am I already going deaf). The volume is very throttle dependent. You can be cruising around 70 and it's not too loud, open the throttle a little though and you've got instant noise.

If you've ever see any of the BMI videos wher they have the touge stuff at the end, well it sounds about like most of the single outlet s2k's I have heard on there, mean!

If you don't like em' loud, I would go with the resonated version. I would assume that the dual outlet resonated exhaust is probably the quietest but I'm just guessing.
