Trust me dude, if you use the right material, it is totally the opposite of PITA. This whole process took me half hour of actual working time. I walk in my bedroom, look at them, and really go like lol

Thanks, and btw I got a few questions about how to apply the polish on the exhaust. The way I found to work best was to get enough polish on the wool, rub it on the surface till you see the oxidation get cut down and exhaust become shinier. Now fully wipe this off, and apply just a bit more polish and go in straight motion. Up-Down-Up-Down. This will reduce the chance of too many swirl marks.

Now you either wipe of with a very soft microfiber cloth and call it a day. Or you with a softer steel wool . Good luck DIYers

Noob question alert!

Could I use the same process to polish my stock catback?

^ You could, but I am haven't really tried it so don't know what the finish on it is.

Best bet would be to use some Aircraft Paint Remove/Stripper, or any other brand. Strip the top coating off so only bare metal is what you are working with. Then start with a harsher steel wool. Say #1 or 2 depending on how hard the surface is and work your way from there. I am sure that it would come out as good.

And post pics when you do it
