BBAP1 + MMSM Miata
thanks for the comments. the msm miata is around <350lbs compared to s2000. turn in is really responsive and the tail does not come around as easily.. steering is really precise compared to s2000's. fun little car. tire choice and suspension setups obviously makes a huge difference. when my friend drives my car he said he feels a lot more stable. o well.its just a different feeling.

Tire choice and a stiffer suspenion make the miata feel a lot nicer, stock they have a lot of roll but are still really quick through the corners.
At the track im not afraid to take the car to the limit, I cant say the same for an s2k its just more tail happy and im not that good of a driver.
however in the looks department the s2k just looks meaner with the wide front and bigger body.

Since I'm torn between purchasing a Miata or an S2000, talk to me more about the handling differences. What about this "tail happiness" that I hear is associated with the S2000?

We can talk all we want but you really have to feel it.
I do plan on driving both, however I doubt that I'll have the opportunity to test that "tail happiness" on a test drive.
I used to have an MGB that broke very nice and I could slide it around corners when I wanted to. (that was back before there was 'drifting').
In the S2000, is it just a matter that the back end breaks free quickly and then you're already in over your head?
