NV,
I had more pics of us eating, but must have "lost" them on the memory card.
You're right though, whatever meet I have ever gone to in Chicago or Milwaukee, we are always eating. I think going to eat is how we find out about each other without having to talk the whole time. I can tell alot about a person depending on what they order and how they eat it.
For example when I first met Greg Stevens at last summer's meet at Elkhart, we ended up going to a "pseudo classy" restaurant to end the day. He had ordered some steak plate. When he got his steak, he douced it with steak sauce, cut it up into manageable pieces and proceeded to pick each piece up with his hands and went to work. He had his napkin tucked into the neck of his shirt, sauce on the sides of his mouth and in his finger nails, and a big childlike grin on his face.
From that one sitting, I precluded that Greg was a "guy's guy", fun, almost care-free, great guy to be around, etc. He has yet to disappoint.
Another reason we Chicagoans go to eat is because in Chicago and the surrounding areas we have the BEST places to eat with the most variety, NO COMPETITION. I've travelled alot in the four years and have eaten every where. . .I enjoy food, tastings, and eating!!! With my experience, I always love to get back to the midwest for our restaurants.
Now I'm babbling, so let me go.

Thanks for the props, Urmil...!
Interesting observation about the food, and Urmil has it right. Chicago has some of the best restaurants in the world...I would most definitely miss that were I to move!
And cool shots of the show, we had fun that night...!

I think a better description of Chicago meets is that we are always drinking. Whether it be to change shocks, wash the cars, put on an X-brace, bleed the brakes or just to bull$hit we always have beer.
