Default Bra

I got a bra from Colgan that fits very nicely. it lifts off the car over 70mph. but got that fixed by sewing in clear plastic covering the headlight holes. Paid about $90 for it. there is a hood part too that I dont put on. Everything fits really nicely

Why do you guys use 'car bras' over there in the US? I don't think I've seen those anywhere else in the world. It's not like it's very stylish? I'm sure the next owner will be thrilled at how nice looking the car's nose is, but how about having a car that looks good while you have it?

If I remember well, that's for best protection against moskitos and other insects (Like headgear for bikers else all kind of these are on the teeth )

Uh, bras are ugly unless they're Victoria Secret's , IMO it takes away the clean look of the car.

And paint chips, scratches, dings, and bugs impaled at 60+ mph don't take away the clean look of the car?

Bras are good for long (high speed) road trips, even if they are ugly as sin.

the reason I was told that there is no clear plastic in the bra in the first place is the heat generated by the headlamp (may cause melting of the plastic onto the lens) and optical clarity. Colgan couldn't put any kind of plastic into that hole unless it had 100% optical clarity...

Just an FYI.

I dont think this bra is really that ugly. but I agree it does mess up the clean outline of the car. However, I put it on long trips, etc. because you get all kinds of damage from rocks and bugs etc. that are very difficult to fix. and if you notice the nose of the car is the place where you get that type of damage.

I own a bra and use it every time I race or do a road trip to Houston. There's nothing worse than following another S2K at 80 MPH through a turn at Texas World Speedway and he gets off track just a little bit. You get showered with a hail of projectiles as he wags his tail trying to recover. Houston is in a constant state of highway repair. It started when I was a boy and they are just now getting to the north side highways.

There are time when style must bow to practicality.

Regards,

Al
