ok, calm down. just because you have a bimmer doesn't mean you have to think someone who doesn't like it is crazy or "smoking something."
everyone is so sensitive.

dsr is right. although you may like the s2k better, but the fact is that M3 is a better car.

Better car for what?

Taking my kids around? yes

Fun to drive around? No

Besides, too many jackasses sell and drive BMWs. No offense to anyone on here, but, without question, too many use it as a status symbol or license to drive aggressively on the road.

Definitely nowhere near as pretty as your S, but I do understand the appeal of German cars. Good luck with it.

it's stupid to hold that against the car. same can be said of the S, with all the Civic ricers now driving them.

i dont think dsr was making a comment on it because he owns a bmw, but the fact the the n54 i a far superior motor.
I was more referring to the M3 since they guy said he had one on order then cancelled it for an S. Who cross shops a 65k dollar M3 and a 34k dollar S2k?

Although I still consider the 335i an upgrade, and I don't care about brands or status symbols. I wanted a Turbo car that wasn't a 4 cylinder. The 335i is about the only thing out there that is new that fit that category for me. I wasn't defending the M3 because I have a BMW, I could care less if the M3 was made by Fiat, it's still a far superior car in every category.

If the guy thinks the S2k is more fun to drive that's his opinion, but that doesn't make the M3 not an upgrade. I think the S is one of the most fun cars I've ever owned but I wouldn't remotely say the M isn't an upgrade. That's like me saying yeah I enjoy driving my 335i more than a Carrera 4S, but a 911 would be an upgrade no matter what. I know a ton of jackasses with every brand of car, that point is moot.

This is a tough one. I suppose "technically" it is an upgrade. And by no means does that insult the S2000.

I had the E90 (not E92 Coupe) M3 Sedan before anyone else had it on the streets down here, and while I enjoyed it for the time I had it before letting it go (4 months) I honestly can't say it's the most fun I've ever driven. I considered the M3 a hell of a lot more fun to drive than say, my brother's E60 M5, or his friend's convertible M6, but I'll tell you this - none of those cars are as fun to drive IMHO as the s2k. But that's just me.

I'm single and have no kids, what more do I want?

Congrats on the UPGRADE! 335's have something the s2000 lacks big time = torque.

Here's one pic of when I had the M and went to an annual meet. 1 328, 1 M3 (mine) and the rest are all E90s and E92s 335's

Seems to be the trend going from the S2K to a 3 series of some sort. I ordered an AW 335i coupe, should hopefully be here mid Feb. Now if I could only unload my S2K.

I'd love to have another S to build as a track car and start doing that, still a great car for the money. They are super fun, I wouldn't mind owning an Elise or something that has the potential of huge fun factor in a small package.
