the Seibon one is actually pretty good too.

but, yeah... seems like OEM, Mugen, and Seibon are the ones to go with.
just an FYI.... seibon and vis CF products are made at the same facility. most likely with the same molds. lots of companies out source or hire a company to make something and put their name on it.. there are identical exhausts for our cars as well as other parts that only differ by the badge of the selling company.

we have the same problems. also my side brackets did not line up with the predrilled holes on the top, so i had to drill one of the bracket holes bigger.
We did not have to drill any new holes .. it was close though . I helped with the install on his car. I have a VIS on mine so I wanted to see how the fitment differs between them. No offense Congo but I don't think I could be paid to put that on my car. the CF is pealing around the edges by the windows. The back has a 1 inch gap (with weather stripping). Like he said, he cant even put his windows all the way up because the front corners of the glass hits the damn ht !! and at the back of the windows is almost a half inch gap.

This Chaser hardtop is very very bad fitment!!! buyers beware of what your getting into. Save up and get at least Seibon/VIS , the fitment on mine is perfect (and I am anal) , but fits even better than my oem ht.

all n all tho, if you are dying to rock a hardtop and on a budget it will work, but will come a lot of stress in the end and a bunch of extra money.

Hmm, doesn't sound too great at all. Fitment is bad, seller is unresponsive. Not a good recipe. Hopefully the vis ones are better.

chaser top is really bad on fitment....the hardtop is made from C-Wing and the top is made in China where they hire farmer to make the parts.....I know because I used to work for C-Wing..I left that company because I get so many call on fitment and got so tired and left the company.....

yes the CF one i didnt do anything to at all for fitment, just put it on, but i am using oem hardware brackets for the oem hardtops. i think thats the key on alot of fitment problems.... The FRP top was cracked from shipping so i had to repair it anyway... but when its just a crappy mold that someone gets it would require more sanding and fitting...
Same here. I never had any experience with hardtops as I'm new to the S2000 community, but I took it out of the box, and I installed it while snapping a few pics. I don't have problems with my windows hitting the top or anything else. I did have some squeeking from the drivers side but I purchased some Shin Etsu grease and it's been fine for the past 6 months.

If someoene is looking for the absolute best fitment, they'll have to put out the additional money. Just like carbon fiber hoods, aftermarket bumpers, etc. You pay more for a better fit and finish if that's what you're looking for. There's been complaints for every aftermarket hardtop on the market and I doubt any one brand will please every customer.
