chaseraero frp hardtop
being 4 of 34 of the hardtops sold the other week by chaseraero, i received numerous pm's about the fitment, shipment, quality, etc. i finally got around to doing a real fully bolted temp install of the frp hardtop this weekend.
iigq hardware, some love it/some hate it, but it works for me, includes: side brackets, bolts, rear/side window seals, lower hardtop seal, and trunk bumpstops (i forgot to install those)...
front latches (i bought a secondary set rather than remove them off my softtop)...
underside/inside of hardtop...
INSTALL
remove doorsill...
remove rear panel, two screws at hooks (i removed only one and just pryed it)...
remove side panel, one screw...
remove three bolts for iigq side mount bracket...
install side mount bracket...
need to trim this edge under the brushes for clearance of the bracket...
after reinstalling side panel you need to trim brushes, i didn't trim mine enough, next time i remove the top i'm going to trim it an additional inch...
HARDTOP INSTALLED, attached side brackets and front latches...

the front corners by the latches are sharp, i have to alter/dremel the screw holes 'cause the latches are too tight and are flexing the hardtop...
side window, measured up the iigq seal and it is adequate length...
rear window, fits in the hole, i got the smoked glass (pleasant surprise), i don't know if i'll use the iigq window seal or get a thicker/wider one...
gaps under hardtop, didn't install lower hardtop seal (awaiting paint)...
the s2000 hiding behind the infamously large hardtop box...

no offense but that top looks like its not going to fit right.. i realize its not fully bolted down. maybe its just the pics.. idk
i also dotn like that the front corners are pointy.. i dont know why that bugs me.. ive had all 3.. authentic, cwings and now VIS. if i cant get an authentic id rather take the vis for sure.. i had major fitment issues with my cwings... got rid of that like a month after.
i like the iigq hardware.. how much u pay for that?
