Does the S stand for "shallow" for the DB6501S? If so where can I find a set? Was installation easy for the speakers? Thanks.

Thanks for all the comments...

Yeah, the "S" in DB6501S stands for shallow mount...you can get them through Crutchfield...mounting was really easy, I had to use their adapter ring (break off all the little tabs) but its all straightforward...

Nothing too special for the engine bay...just a lot of time and that Meguiars Quick Detailer spray, spray and wipe everywhere I can reach...

I'm loving the CDA-117 so far...only had it about two weeks now so I'm still playing with all the settings and features, lots of options to customize and tweak...the iPod interface is VERY slick (my primary reason for choosing it)...only thing that kinda sucks was installing it, there's so many wires in the back that it takes a few tries to get the headunit pushed all the way in the dash

wow looks great~
those who know will notice

few questions for you...
what is the "spacer" and what does it do with the FD2 shift knob?
im planning to get this as well from evasive and was wondering if i need it.

does your dash controls work with your CDA-117?

how did you connect the usb adapter all the way to that storage place?

is the power pack worth it? where did u place yours?

Thanks!
