Default cooler in the trunk ?

i dont know if anyone has done this yet, i searched and couldnt fine anything here or on google. so i might be the first to do this, but its a big world so i really dont know. the idea came up one day on a beer run with my little brother. while putting the beer in the trunk, he said this would be way better out of the box, and i said indeed it would, but even better filled with ice so they would be cold when we got home. from that we had the idea of making the tool space where everyone puts a sub, a cooler. we figured poping the trunk at a show and having beer, water, and food cold was awesome ! so here is the almost finished product. after two layers of insulation and foam, two layers of fiber glass and two layers of some waterproof bondo like stuff i got at a marine supply store and a working drain that is easily opened and closed from the bottom. all that is left is to sand down the surface to a smooth finish. tested it this weekend with 40lbs of ice, a 12 pack of corona, and a 6 pack of water with plenty of room left for anything else. works amazing. heat from the exterior mostly exhaust is kept out and this monday morning the last of the ice was melting out. i put it in 10 o'clock in the morning saturday. so feel free to comment on what you guys think.

Depending upon which state you're in, this would be a great way to lose your license

Very cool!

We did this a long time ago but didn't put as much work into it as you did. It was a complusive idea. We were on a way to a BBQ and didn't have a cooler.

The trunk:

Great effort and execution. I see this done a lot with "stance" guys. I also saw a guy install a beer tap on the rear deck of his trunk. I'll stick to bringing a small cooler haha.

Why would you lose your license for having UNOPENED beers in your TRUNK? It would be exactly the same as having a portable cooler in the trunk with beer in it. It is inaccessible from the cabin so there should be no reason to get in trouble for it.

That would be the same as going to the liquor store, buying a case of beer, putting it in your trunk, get pulled over on your way home, and get cited for having beer in your trunk.

Please expand on your statement as I cannot see the reasoning behind it.

if i went to the liquor store i wouldnt be coming out with just beer. i think a tap in the bumper disguised as a battery kill switch would be the shiz.. juss sayin. fill the windshild washer bottle up mount somewhere hidding in that cooler underneath, run hose to kill switch.
