Default Cracked CF fender....fixable?

As I was gassing up my car today, I noticed that part of my Seibon CF fender on the driver's side looked "pulled out". Well closer inspection showed cracking paint on the outside of the fender. When i looked under the fender, i saw that part of it was cracked and pull out. I guess my tire must have rubbed at some point in time.

I'm wondering...based on the pictures below, would it be possible to simply have a body shop remove the part that's cracking off and do a full repaint to the fender? I'd really like to avoid buying new fenders if possible.

From my experience no. My body man suggests sanding it down then coating it back with another layer of sealant.

yeah pretty much what everyone else is saying. any bodyshop will be able to do it, some fiberglass, sanding, and paint and she will be ready to go.

i know from experience

Why not just trim the inside portion that you cant see? Should give you a bit more clearence on the inside of the fender so you dont run into this problem again.
