New JDM trend
Cops here have zero tolerance for no front plate. If you were to get pulled over, they could go through all the mods on your car, look for anything not legit and pull your JCI. Then you have to pay to get reinspected and get a tow home.

What is considered "not legit" by local Japanese authorities? I have always been curious.

Not legit is anything that wouldn't pass JCI inspection. Some things are, rear wing wider than fenders, wheels sticking out beyond fenders, no front plate, excessively loud exhaust, no cat, poorly aimed headlights, inoperative lights, no horn, no washer squirters, (just to name a few). I know there are rules limiting suspension and alignments for JCI also but as far as a cop confirming them it would be difficult. It's once you have to go back to get reinspected that all the discrepancies would be found.

Even our local Honda dealer has a poster hanging in the lobby basically saying that if your wing is too wide or wheels stick out too far (no flares are wide fenders) they won't touch your car.

This pic made my palms sweat, looks like it almost backed out down the cliff...lol

Really sick JDM (yo!) Hondas. I agree with the FD2, really wish they brought a Type R version into the states.
