The color being dark does take away from the lines of the car and especially the kit. Maybe a different color would have worked better (I like the blue/black though).

When you repaint, I suggest you get rid of the Spa Yellow and go with GP White!

Good job!
Yeah black flames would have been better IMO....
Or like... the actual color of flames would have been hot IMO...
I think it looks very orignal though...

I love the dark blue color! I'm not opposed to flames, either.

I would have, however, probably added a couple of flames to the hood to balance it out. Additionally, I would like to see the blue carried throughout the rear of the car instead of the yellow/blue.

Have you thought about painting the wheels that same blue? You could then paint the calipers yellow to tie the whole thing together. As it is right now, it looks like the car was painted without the hood and trunk on the car.

Not flaming(no pun ), 'cause I have had ideas of "ghost" flaming mine with tips to match my interior. Good luck with the continuation of your project! I the blue!!!

IMO i think the car with that paint job (which i think is badass) would look better without that rear veilside bumper... the stock bumper i think would look better... I never really like the rear of the vielside kit... looks like it got rearended or something... just my 2 cents

Not my style but for what it is, it looks like a quality job.

As long as you're happy!

The whole reason I got a bodykit was because my car was in a minor accident that claimed the life of my front and rear bumper, my front lip (R.I.P.), and my back left quarter panel. To tell you the truth, I think the Veilside Rear bumper is ugly. It's the only part of the car that doesn't fit. The two big gaps behind the tire, and the back bumper being so short make me dislike it. At the time, the other bodykits I was looking at were just lip kits for the back, hence the veilside kit.
I also think that the car looks unfinished with the trunk and hood painted in the current set-up yellow. The car isn't completely finished, and goes in Tuesday for more work, so I'll talk to my painter and see what we can come up with.
About the color, it actually didn't turn out the way I planned it to. I assumed that my painter would add the blue pearl to the clear coat, making it look a little blue in the sunlight (like the new M3 carbon blue), but he actually mixed the pearl in the black base paint, so it looks like blue paint. It didn't turn out the color I wanted, but it's definitely a custom color.

Yeah... I'm ex-NTPOG. I remember your old Prelude.

I forgot all about the Auto Show. I don't know if I'll be able to make it out, but if I do, hopefully I can check out your car then. Hopefully, I'll have my car back by then, too!

definately points for originality! a few comments...

- I am not a fan of the Veilside, but I dig how the dark colors hide some of the lines on that kit, which actually improve it quite a bit.
- I dig the wheels, but not with the color scheme/body kit. Might look into something a bit more flashy and less complex.
- With the airbox lid off - you are actually losing power by a few horses. it might sound cool but it actually bogs the intake.
- 450 at the rear wheels - well, if you have the money, anything can be done. however, first thing's first - learn how to drive, I don't want to see this car wrapped around a tree. so go to the local autocrosses/DE events and such before squeezing more power out of it. but once you do add lots of power, let me know cause I'm sure we'll be replacing diffs and transmission parts. =)
