Very cool! Have you thought of doing the small piece by smoothing the top as well? The little piece on the right. Making all smooth as well.

Thanks! Yeah im going to do it soon. I just wanted to see how the lid would turn out, and see if it cracks or anything first before I take all my time doing that little peice. So far it looks just as good as when I first put it on. Its gone through several 100 degree days driving all day, no problems yet. So probably next weekend ill do that other little peice. Ill be sure to post pics once I get that done too.

Haha i've actually thought about it, but I think it might be hard to get it smooth where I cut it off so it looks good. Plus I want to get some kind of intake arm before I would do that so it sorta finishes the look off right there.

Okay I guess, Just orange peel and waviness makes it look... lets just say not as classy as the stock look.

But if you are trying to be different than do whatever floats your boat. GJ

Yeah at hard angles in the light it is pretty wavy, but in person it looks good. Not bad for doing it for free though and spraying it myself!

Looks great! I highly doubt it will crack as the lid is soo thick there's almost zero flex, especially when it's clamped into place.

Sand with a sanding block/pad can give you smoother/more even finish.

Keep it up.
