according to this post, the wheels are 16lbs for the front and 17lbs for the rears.


9k ap-on3 - i got rid of the lip/splitter and replaced it with a cf one which didnt last that long. i'm currently waiting for a new oem replacement.

is it the wheels? umm, your lm's weigh 10lbs more on each corner, nor do they fit correctly.

since you are an NYC korean brother, i'm gonna be as constructive as i can be cuz i'm sure you are a nice kid.

-it's not about the height. the height of your car is fine, although the neuspeeds are a bit too aggressive (your rear wheel tucks in ala BMW ricer boy style)

-it is the exhaust. put that bad boy fart can looking exhaust tip and muffler on a civic and it'll look right at home

-it is the wheels. it is the lug nutz. your wheels will always look.... "dirty." because of its gunmetalish color. and the what do you call it... aqua colored lug nutz simply have no place in the overall gunmetal scheme that you are going for with the rims. so they're light and quality, but who cares if they're ugly? and on top of that you have a bright flashy yellow car, but you dumb it down with dark wheels that are better suited to darker colored cars... say black. the whole scheme just begs for something diff.

and if u want to direct your comment on my setup... you tell me what you're expecting to get out of your car by going lighter than me cuz in a rim showdown (hell yeah!) my "heavy ass" two-piece wheels will rip your prodrives apart in construction, strength, design, craftsmanship, et al.

now are you going to race me around the neighborhood with a stop watch to prove the advantages of having lighter rims than me? and now that i've done the socal28 mod to the rears, do you know that i dont' rub anymore and do you know I can put 255s and lay down more rubber than your setup unless you do the same mod? cuz boy your rims don't fit any better than my setup.

( you ain't even lighter than stock and you'r enot even putting more rubber down than stock and you're probably using cheaper rubber, inferior rubber).

also.. do you expect your car to pull even a car length on mine because of my ghetto ass heavy wheels? think about it because it's really amusing how all these JDM loving kids spend thousands of dollars on Volk, Tein, advan... thinking it actually looks good... yeah it looks good to other JDM loving kids but to the general sports car fan and the general public... it's iChild's play ("i" for import).

and when you put on that carbon fiber lip..i called u out back then, too. that sucker's not gonna stand up to the beating front lips take... and look where you are at now. are you gonna color the oem lip to black? let's hope not. let's hope you've learned.

and take a hard look at that silver porsche that compelled you to take pics of it. see how that car's done. learn, see, feel how it looks clean and cohesive. take a look at your ride and see what i would like to refer to as... less filling.

so my recommendation is whether you like it or not is get a set of dark colored lug nuts.... get your OEM spa yellow front spoiler... get the matching rear if you can spend the money on it... .... get rid of your single exhaust and put back on the stock one or a set of aftermarket duals and call it a day.

now that'll be a good looking s2000. and i only want my korean brothers looking their very best.

 

i think the lug nuts look a little, out of place as well. but i like the rims. very nsx-ish. i also like my volks. id have pics of my car, but its not dropped, and with 18s, that's straight up wrong. that'll change once i save the $$$.

WRS2K's (and other people) BBS LM's look very very good. but IMO, they're a little too *bling bling* for a simple car ie S2000. that's why i like the look of the volk te37/le37t on the s2000... very simple looking wheels for a simple looking car. oh and ben, i get complements on my wheels too.

but WRS2K is right, there's no point in getting something lighter if you're not a trackie. woohoo, i saved 2lbs on lugs. big deal. that should only matter to the hardcore dudes (krazik is one.. talk about gutted interior and weight savings )
