Day in the Life: Driven
I posted this in another forum and figured I'd whore it out here too. This happened a week ago.
Sorry, no S2000 content...
I got called in on Saturday to work at ExoticsRacing. I usually instruct, but was called in to do their Video/DVD authoring. Basically, customers can purchase the video of them driving, they bring it to me, I make sure it's all there and burn it to a DVD.
All the photos were shot with a shitty iPhone5. Sorry.
I'll skip the, waking up, shitting, showering, shaving business...

Grab the shifter, pew-pew-pew into drive! Best white elephant gift ever!

Jesus it's cold!

My commute starts me at the south end of town...

Obligatory driving picture...

Good morning Las Vegas. The overcast made the city look pretty cool.

Those double-whites... don't cross them until you see the dashes.

Vegas!

18.3 MPG!!

Stopped by for some breakfast... ooh, free wi-fi!

Sunrise!

My Exit...

My overall commute. 38 minutes, with two stops. Not too shabby.

Finally arrived. Our garage is a bit crowded, but that's roughly 4 million or more in product. Not shown is another GTR to the right.

We go thru a few tires...

Our newest Aventador and the start lever. It'll be a few more weeks before it gets on track, need to add miles to it.

Italia welcome screens when you open the door.

McLaren MP4-12C. One of the coolest parking brake levers.

Audi R8 door sill lights up... not all of them though. I guess it's an option.

Porsche Turbo S with PDK. It's not great, but gotta have vehicles anyone car drive.

After my morning duties, made my way to the track and spot a convey of Jeep/Chrysler vehicles, all of them were SRT trims. Neat!

Track arrival. Our normal track was being repaved, so we were using this track. it's not great, but it'll do.
My office for the day.
Day progresses and I get to take a lunch...

A few foreigners were roaming around... in mini-skirts, at like 43 degree temps, and they were NOT skinny. Thunderous thighs indeed.

A lot of our foreign customers like taking pictures with their massive tablets. So I take pictures of them.
Roach coach for lunch.

While waiting for my food, some on-track action
Fast forward to the end of my day and I head back home...
A shot of the city at night... looked better in person.
Had to take care of some other work, some basic php, a little video editing, etc.
Took a quick shower then headed back north to the girlfriend's place.
She lives in here somewhere...
But she drives this. She's not Asian. It's a track model. It's a manual. She has tracked it. No, she is not a typical retarded "car girl". Yes, those are real volks, albeit older models.
Her stupid. f@#king. cat.
We went to dinner at Metro pizza... pretty good food.
And we saw a celebrity there... Marilyn Manson. Or a guy wearing a lot of make-up in hopes to look like a girl.... or a girl really bad at doing her make-up.
some more photos of just the cars:
Porsche's centerlocks. The torque wrench is like 4' long.
Aventador brakes
CF door panel in the Superleggera
Gallardo window switches and such.
R8 has the most boring looking shifter in the entire fleet.
Ferrari mode selector
Scuderia's center console in CF. Buttons are for the reverse selection and switching from manual shift to auto shift.
430 dash cluster with the key in the ACC position.
458 dash cluster with the key in the ACC position.
Cayman R door pull/release
Something like $1.5 million in car keys. ALL of the cars require the key to be in the ignition except the GTR and the SLS.
That's it.
how about a pros/cons:
Pros:
- No state tax
- No "winter storage" for cars
- Can wash the car once every 3 months, and just dust inbetween
- Friends/Family are more willing to visit
- Beach/Ocean is 4 hours away, snowboarding/skiing is 2-3 hrs away, lake is an hour away
- Can get virtually anything you want at any time of the day
- 7 Race tracks within 5-6 hrs drive (SMMP, LVMS, SOW, Big Willow, Fontana, Chuckwalla, Horsethief)
- Speeding tickets can be fixed as parking tickets, so no points or insurance raises
Cons:
- Car insurance is ridiculously high (Mine's $170/mo with my M45 and S2000)
- Power/Electricity bill is a bit high
- Car registration is high
- Drivers suck. People say this about their cities too, but Vegas has an extraordinary high level of tourists and rental cars...
- "What happens in Vegas" mentality...
There's more, but that gives ya a good idea

Dude that's awesome!!! I'd love to see these cars up close in person, better yet sit behind the driver seat. Hopefully get to experience exoticracing next Vegas visit.
I guess our insurance is high over here in BC, Canada too. I pay almost $190 a month with basic-medium coverage with the highest discount possible on the s2k alone.
