Do you mind if we use your pics on our web site? The first one is a great shot of the diff. Much better then what we already have. Also the side by side it great.

Thanks

Forgive the ignorance... What's the advantage of the Comptech housing? Weight? Strength?

Did you just swap in the old Torsen internals, or did you have to replace parts.

Just curious. Tnx.

The Comptech housing has steel "straps" that go over the exsiting carrier bearing caps. The theory behind the reinforcement straps is to strengthen the weaker cast iron bearing caps. Nobody so far has broken a Comptech housing, I hope my luck stays good. I reused my original ring and pinion, and Torsen differential. Partly because I'm cheap, I like the stock gear and diff. I'm not sure a clutch pack style locking diff wouldn't be harder on the already strained driveline. (I'm running a Vortech BTW) I did repalce all the bearings, crush sleeve, and pinion nut. The Housing swap is the same amount of work as a gear swap, Not meant for the novice. I'd reccomend finding a experienced tech that has access to all the tools and manuals needed.

Outstanding, slow. Thanks for sharing that info. From what I've read, assembling/disassembling a Torsen diff is not for the novice.

Best of luck!
