I applaud your creativity to install the deck but I was hoping to see some more refined pics of the final install man.
That doesn't bother you that there's a huge gap on either side - looks like you just took the stock radio door and hacked it off and stuck a radio there....?
Don't mean to be too harsh but that's just my 2 cents - since you spent all this effort to install a deck why not finish it?
Rick
I kinda have to agree here. It looks totally unfinished. You really should have the radio door piece molded around that. It wouldn't take that long really. Few hours really.

Its just like having an OEM radio or aftermarket CD player there but minus the door so how can that be unfinished?
Thats like saying all the S2000s in production are unfinished because mine looks exactly like those with maybe 5-8mm gap on each side. My Alpine CD player had a 2mm gap so in reality its only 5mm if that. Thats to minimal to even cry about. So I didnt.
I don't know about you but my Alpine aftermarket deck has no gap. This isn't the desk I have now but they both fit the same.
If you mold the radio door frame around the deck it will look finished. You've spent so much cash on your car It totally baffles me that you wouldn't finish this properly. Did you cut the radio door and pop it back on or something and I just missed the pictures?

Radio door wont fit since its a double din. I would have to custom fab some type of cover. I like how it looks. It looks very OEM when the moniter is tilted. Thats what I wanted. I guess I could try a FG mold but dont really want to spend anymore money on it.
your car looks good buy the way and i took the jdm bezel and cut and moded it then i covered mine with some oem honda leather to match.. i have better picks soon as i get them,, thanks man. really wasnt that bad lots of molding it to fit the dash
