I think the ultimate look would be to paint match the upper surrounds of the lip and leave the extended lip portions in CF.
Leave the bottom splitter CF.

looks a LOT better painted.. however, i think it would look better if the lip didnt go up so high at the ends.. for track-tested results though.

I think the reasons they engineered the lip to wrap high on the sides is to direct higher side airflow, and also to ensure the lip holds at 100+mph on the tracks without issues, having a larger side attachment surface area.
