That's interesting because i literally just watched an episode of Hot Version where they showed the differences as well, and the S2K with it's top down was a second faster around Tsukuba.

Weight shifts lower, so handling is partially improved over top up. It's better for handling, not top speed. I believe they mention that.

You can also have massive differences in lap time, no matter who the driver is.

That civic sounds truly horrible.

That makes sense. I was watching it in passing, so I don't remember hearing that.
