any dirt or dust would be sheered off from the wind or etc. the Brembo's dont have any flex to them unlike oem brakes so this clearance will always remain the same. the clearance is more than enough.

aftermarket brakes for the evo have larger rotors which would allow more clearance. the oem brembo's are actually larger than stoptech/mu so using those would actually have extra room.
If your measurement is correct, just about ANYTHING blowing through the wheel will get caught between the inside of the spoke and outside of the rotor.

Nothing is perfectly rigid. You'll probably get .001" of that clearance lost to heat expansion alone, which leaves you with about two hairs to go. It's not about rigidity (though that helps) - it's about having a TINY gap (if indeed your measurement is correct) between two parts that don't want to give.

Pretty tough to get an accurate measurement like that unless you're using shim stock...

anyway, must be a typo. getting it fit within a couple of human hairs is PURE luck. if he said he got it within .25cm, then i would applaud the skill
Asian hairs are sometimes that thick - most Caucasian hairs are about half as thick. I went with the best case scenario (for him).

But I agree with the point. I can guarantee that the wheel has a tolerance of at least .002" for the spoke width, so I would never even consider running a wheel/brake fit that close. Chances are they're going to hit, if indeed his measurements are not a typo. .003" on a part that big that is forged, then machined, is pretty tight.

Those look good, but they have to rub when you go over a bump.

Wow nice. I wanted to run these on my car but everyone I saw with them that had the concave would only run them with Stop-techs. Havent seen anyone run much concave stuff with the OEM brembo's.
