I understand the hate on the hellaflush trend, but this is not hurting the performance at all. A bumper is visually appealing and replicas cut cost and have to be fitted (along with some authentic parts.) I don't agree with people doing a full fake kit, but a front lip or bumper that will be beat up and paint chipped anyways is nothing something someone should be flammed for adding to their car. Just my .02. I'd rather see an ED or Shine bumper on an S than some CCW's that don't fit any day.

ED is/was a sponsor. Hopefully they will step up and take care of your issues. I've even heard Shine has sent out thin bumpers. Stories like yours about replica body parts inconsistency have really steered me away from anything but an OEM bumper.

Most everyone works hard for their money to buy mods. I never understood why someone would take that hard earned money and buy the cheapest parts possible. Wouldn't you want to take that hard earned money and spend it on something that is going to be a high quality product? You get what you pay for in almost every situation in life. There are reasons what those knockoff parts are so cheap. Plus the name makes me lol, Extreme Dimension, sounds like a mini truck club.

Here's a good quote to consider: " The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of the cheap price is forgotten."

So the majoriry of people here think that spending $2k on a brand new asm bumper is a smart decision ? As opposed to buying a replica for $350 ? I mean i understand you get what you pay for, but say that replica was perfect, spot on, possibly better than the asm ? Would you still have an issue with it ?? Mechanical parts are one thing, aero and panels are a whole other thing, if your willing to take a risk are sometimes worth it to check out for value alone. Ahem chaser mugen replica hardtops come to mind. Say their garbage and trash, but then realize how many people got that $4k mugen hard top in a replica for $800, who gets the last laugh there ?? Oh well im just saying if moneys really no object and you can safely justify that price tag, i say someone GIVES him their asm bumper. I mean moneys no object to some of the ballers in this post right ?? Im sticking up for him and his decision, because hes a good guy who does alot for the metro community. He came on here to post an experience, not be flamed.

Unfortunate that this thread has become an authentic vs replica debate, but I will say that performance parts should only be authentic. I used to think otherwise on wheels, but now I'm leaning toward authentic on them also. But body panels? If it fits, it fits. The OP's bumper doesn't fit, but I've heard of people have trouble fitting authentic pieces also. I think bumpers are a real gamble either way. I love my AP2 front + OEM lip, but god forbid if anything were to happen, can't say I wouldn't consider an Amuse replica.

Best of luck to the OP in getting this straightened out.

No debates here. No parts should be in that shape authentic or not! I saw the bumper myself it is just of poor quality. Cracks and uneven surfaces! There is. I excuse for that.
