It pains me and angers me when I see posts like this one. One year and a half ago a Subaru Sti plowed into my daily driver a Solara. The Subaru was racing on I88 in Illinois and lost control of his car and used my car as a barrier. My wife and my daughter were travelling with me. My 12 year old daughter walked away from the accident with minor scratches. My wife was not so lucky, do date she is in therapy nursing a hematoma the size of a football. I was by far the unluckiest one, I was actually pronounced D.O.A. by the Illinois State Trooper that was first onsite. I came to to the calm tone of a female paramedic, I dont remember how and when I came to, but my wife said I was motionless for quite some time. After the jaws of life removed what was left of my door I was rushed to the E.R. I don't remember much other than thinking that my wife and daughter had been killed. Unless you have lived you could never understand. I finally was notified that my daughter and wife were fine but I wasn't. My left eye and back suffered massive trauma. I cant tell you how much glass was embedded in my body. Sutures and bandages kept my eye from falling out of its socket for quite some time. I am alive and well today, I owe the paramedics my life.
So you see, when I read posts like this it pains and angers me. Death is inevitable but when it is the product of an irresponsible selfish act it is tragic.
Speeding belongs in a controlled enviroment, not on the highways. I pray that the driver a speedy recover and that passanger is gods home.
Be safe you all and god bless.

mudring - did the driver of the car that hit you die? Was he charged with anything? Did you take him for all his earthly possessions for being an idiot?

That is one crazy crash. It looks worse than the kid who drove his 5 five friends in the air strip crash. I suppose this one is worse because it burned down. Just crazy.

mudring, thanks for sharing your story with us.
