Flame thrower exhaust. It's rice. A straight pipe gets a burst of flame (more like a fireball like thing) out the pipe... but a straight pipe helps performance on turbo applications, where as this flamethrower thing is just a waste of gas.

My buddy's rx7 shoots flames when he shifts. remember rx7's exhaust runs very very hot. and with a dial of the afc to run rich can easily cause fire. hehe, i've seen some shoot up and roast a tree.

I had a 2nd Gen RX-7 w/ duals around 8mo. ago -- it shot flames too sometimes. And it was NON-turbo
