Well, the cut was made above the ARC air intake.... The edges of the cut is exactly on the structure of the hood. as i did not want to cut through it....... The proportion is quite good.. and the cut is clean.. The silver net is gone, and will be replaced by another decent one.. like the EVO7....
I am planing to have a cover box.. and the opening will be facing the passenger in the car.. the air is actully coming out from the hood...... ! It might increase more air flow,
As for the cut right now. the amount of air inside and outside might be equal in pressure as I drive.... but by adding the box. the air side will be pushed out.. and the air flow above the hood will be pulling the air from inside!!! OOF! I home I am not making this confusing

I wonder how much sand/dirt is getting trapped by the filter now that it is direct access to the filter? My ComTech CAI gets a lot already and I would think that this might make it worst?
Also NASCAR (I know that is a bad word around here but) uses the same "teardrop" type hood scoop. The air intake is located in the center of the hood at the base of the windshield. The turbulence in this area creates all of the air needed. The engine pulls the air in. But on the up side, no drag is created.

It's been done before. PM RedRice his car has everything shaved with an 18(?) button remote. hydraulics for the doors and rear light hides the gas tank. very cool. Plus he's got all LED undercar display. Met him at HIN Philly. very cool stuff, nice guy too!
Yeah, what you're actually looking for is a door popping solenoid. I believe it was auto-loc or power-loc that makes a good kit. As for the windows, you should also get that cause other solenoids have failed before so get window modules that roll up and down. Looks clean though.
