Very interesting numbers. You are clearly well versed on this subject. I stand corrected. Any sources for this hearsay?
I had no idea that 25-50% of these companies business was done in the U.S. and furthermore that replica manufacturers were taking all of it. It is my understanding that these companies do the large majority of their business in Japan and the U.S. is merely a secondary market for their products (a growing market, but not their concentration) and not their primary source of revenue.
Clearly you are very passionate about these manufacturers... or is it that you just like to play "who has the bigger stick" with forum goers? You are making this way too personal.

Now think about this, put yourself in their shoes, lets say you invented something you put blood sweat and tears into to have someone else come along and replicate your design, how would you feel?
Peace! and im out

Ha I'm glad this is a light debate. There's no need to get heavy over here.
I'm all for putting what you like on your car. If I see an S with an authentic full J's kit, the CF intake, headers, exhaust, etc. I'm gonna say "Man that is a sexy car with a baller owner." And I'll respect him for doing well for himself and modding his car with amazing, expensive parts.
However if I see someone with a replica J's, and 'lesser' engine mods, etc. I'll still respect him for doing what he wants to his car *if it looks good.*
This is slightly off-base but some widebody kits, however jdm-baller-yo they are, are just ugly. The j's kit I find very attractive, and am pleased with the fact they made a replica.

Didn't you have the Seibon Hardtop? Thats a replica?
once a bumper is remade its no longer a J's it become a creation of whatever company makes it. Its made differently and is created using different materials.
