if i remember story from before, he bought it used, so MSRP does not really count here.

off the showroom floor, you pay msrp, well, add in all the luxury tax, gas guzzler tax, etc... but the dealership will not gouge you on the price. they will get you in the years to come with the maintenance, which you have to do or resale value goes down.

people that have money and do not want to spend the 3+ years on the waiting list to get one direct are buying used, from people that bought one and figure profit is more fun than driving, and paying up to 60k over list price.
