Will and Chris are saying different things on how it sounds...Chris said it's actually higher pitched and not like mud-boggers, but Will said it's lower pitched. That's ok, as long as they're not super loud.
I was just trying to get a mileage estimate. The longest review I've read said it lasted them 15k miles...which is good for me. These may be my replacement tires!
BTW, I haven't said this yet, but nice wheels! I wish Work would've kept their forged Emotions around. They always kill the nice ones (i.e. RSZ-R).

It seems, that the aftermarket choices for 16" wheels is just about dying out since more cars are starting to offer 17"+ wheels standard. Sucks for the guys that want to stick with their stock setups.

Those tires would last me about 4-5k miles. And thats just weekend driving. It's bad enough I got through S-03's in 10k. Thats why I had to switch from S-02's, they just didn't last.

Will, I really like the wheels. It has a very purposeful look to it. Hit up a local autox event, your car would probably kick ass.

Now how about a game of Hang Man,

Did you ever have to get yours heatcycled?

Oh, I've never had the A032's, I was just predicting their lifespan on my car, BTW, can you get them shaved?

I don't think they need to be shaved? Unlike RA-1's i think they come with at most 6/32nd tread or something.

Also, I'm not familiar with heatcycling (that I know of), could you elaborate?

My understanding is that its kind of like a "break-in" for tires. This only applies to competition type tires. Heres a pretty good explination from tire rack:

The first time a competition tire is used is the most important. During that run, its tread compound is stretched, some of the weaker bonds between the rubber molecules will be broken (which generates some of the heat). If the tires are initially run too hard or too long, some of the stronger bonds will also be broken which will reduces the tire's grip and wear qualities. Running new tires through an easy heat cycle first, and allowing them to relax allows the rubber bonds to relink in a more uniform manner than they were originally manufactured. It actually makes them more consistent in strength and more resistant to loosing their strength the next time they are used.
For some reason, Toyo RA-1's don't need to be heat cycled, most of the track people seem to perfer shaved RA-1's to the Advans. What I'd like to see is a comparison of A048 and RA-1 but looking at the costs alone(since they need to be imported, the only sizes offered by tirerack are for the Lotus Elise), RA-1's are way more feasible.
