The owner went a little farther for himself and us with paying attention to detail.

Looks great John. When are you going to be featured in a magazine? Its long over due. I can ask around with SS or IT.

Most of your mods I would do away with simply because its to bling/overkill. But then again you can take a wild class trophy home with that.
I do give you props. You do have some nice things. This isnt about who has more things done its about the quality and taste of your car as a whole. You have too many things clashing. You have some parts of your car that is the best part for the S2k, then you short change yourself with other (cheaper, not so great) parts. I know, I do the same thing!
It takes time, money, and patience to build a car to your liking. Again, who cares what we think, its your car.

Let me let you in on a little secret. You do not need a SC or Turbo to get your car in a magazine or take home a first place trophy. Nor do you need sounds, ice, whatever you call it. Again its quality not quantity

Wortham, IMO you have one of the nicest S2Ks around. I've personally followed the progress of your car (via S2KI and your personal website), and it's very obvious that you didn't take any shortcuts or "half-ass" any part of your buildup. While I'm not too big of a fan of the Cavallerisco kit (or any kit, for that matter), you pull it off very nicely.

Your proposed car show presentation looks very well planned out, and I'm sure you'll catch the attention of some judges...but keep in mind that some judges are looking for things like multimedia systems with flat-panel displays all over the place, crazy paint jobs inside and out, etc. It really depends on what they're looking for....sometimes the most outrageously modified car will get the win, while other times a nicely executed car (such as yours) would take home the trophy....I guess it just depends on who the judges are and what their criteria of a "winner" is....Good luck!!!

Your car is sick - no worries. Just because you went a different direction from the 'if it's not JDM, it's not worth the time' haters, doesn't mean you haven't done things well. There is quite obviously a lot of time, attention to detail, and money spent on your ride. The term 'bling' isn't solely reserved to describing items manufactured in the US.

That said, I would say put the hard top on it... Wasn't aware you had one - nice!

The other thing I would say (reinforcing what someone else said) is putting a system in it. Not sure what's going on in your trunk, but since everything else is custom, a closed trunk may hurt you.

Just my $.02...

thanks, folks. it's actually because of all of you that i'm deep in debt at the moment. but hey! it's been fun. nonetheless, if there's anyone who helped me any time in the past, then i owe you a ride or a beer. or a t-shirt because i'm truly grateful.

agreed, hard top is nice, but i love having the top off in arizona, hence i only put it on for special occassions.

and i should really point out the car is far from done so there is more to come. the stereo is the one part i have yet to touch because i want to find someone willing to help me pay for the work for free advertising.

jsap1, you're obviously an articulate individual, and i appreciate the input. however, we'll have to agree that the path i took with my car isn't the one you'd take with yours, but i challenge you to name one part on my car where i 'short changed' myself. but do it in PM if you don't mind. i wanna stay on topic here. this isn't about my car, it's about how i'm planning to present it at show. focus, people.

if i get a chance, i'll change a few things around, and i'd apreciate hearing which design you like better. for all the photoshop pros out there, feel free to borrow any pics from my website you'd like and play around. you won't hear my feelings in the least. my francis' .. but not mine.
