I didnt fully realize the intent of the thread so Ill (re)comment on the design stuff.

The card is fine, a business card isnt really going to be a major issue until you go to the next level ideally what I would suggest is taking the card design and then making some business card CD's with a presentation detailing your car and providing pictures and videos. Basically a condensed dynamic version of your website.

Also with the tee's. A cell shaded image is going to come out better. I do not like the year, I would expect that Honda S2000 would suffice. While your at it try using a Honda "H" as the back drop for the image this will help to contain the image with a boarder and make the text look less "slapped on".

As for the "sex comes in black" it doesnt do anything for me. Its not really witty enough to be on the Tee-shirt. Of course that is just me and others may feel differently. I like you "killer F20C" theme. Try working 9000 rpm in there, make sure that your website is some where on the tee-shirt. I assume this is going to be the back of the shirt. What is going on the breast of the front? This is an ideal place to restate your website possibly overlayed on an alpha'd image of the car cell shade.

I suppose I have probably provided enough "suggestions" to make Francis mad at me Since I do freelance webdesign Im used to getting and giving this kind of info quite a bit.

dude, great feedback. you just gave me a few more ideas of how to make it a lil better. as far as sex comes in black, i think it's catchy IMO, but i'll def take it under consideration. i'll see what i can do with my killer f20c deal as well.

cell shaded? can you give an example of a cell shaded image. i don't know the term.

honda symbol ... like it. going to play with it.

business card cd's? are you suggesting i burn a few cd's and have those as show as well? i considered finding a way to hook up my laptop so the website could be seen as well, but i trashed it after i didn't want my laptop stolen.

breast of the front was shown in the first post, but here it is again:

actually, francis just did the outline of my car and the pic you see on the back. i'm personally not content with the back yet, hence i'm here looking for some inspiration. business cards .... i like my design though. and my stands ... well, a lot to change there when i learn the mechanics of what's involved with the lighting and plexiglass.

and, austin, thanks. i enjoy the support that i get many around here. it's too bad there's a run of assholes around too.

First thing you should do is sell that goofy hardtop. Let me know where I can pick it up from!

Well, for presentations sake, I think a plexi mod list and banner are enough... what you should think more about is the WOW factor. Think about bringing along some lighting effects, like low power stage lights and light your car with them, maybe think about some different ways to rope the car off, or elevate the back end with ramps. Do something creative that will make the presence of the whole setup be appreciated, not just the car itself. Show some class and show some style...

As for the details of the car, for a truely show worthy piece, you may need to look at some little details you would think may be pointless... some Samco radiator hoses and a catch can would add a little more pressence under the hood. You want the person to be overwhelemed by the details to the point where they just keep looking around and looking around trying to take everything in.

In the end, don't plan on being the best of show. Taking BOS at any serious event (I"m not talking local shows or regional shows, but National shows with serious cash prizes) is going to be damn near impossible with your current setup, and I don't think you would want to comprimise your car to the point where you would have the ability to win a BOS at such a show... I've got my share of trophies, and thats all they are... cheap plastic and wood. no biggie. Go there for yourself because you want to show off the car, or you want to appeal to sponsors. Otherwise it's just a waste IMHO. Also, be cordial and polite to the judge... talk to them about the car if they don't mind... Best tip ever: Talk to them like your trying to sell your car to them. Bottom line. Good luck.

Oh, and I like the shirt with the plain font and the s2000 and sex in red...

Very good advice. Especially from somebody who knows what they are talking about car shows. As far as the Samco radiator hoses, I have a brand new pair that I MIGHT be selling.

agreed on the lighting. i'm already working that angle with both my presentation and inside the car and engine.

i'll never compromise my own standards in order to please the masses and their current fad. that's too sell outish for my tastes.

hoses ... never looked into it, but will now. whacha got, ryan?

ryan, back off the hardtop before i break your finger. and i won't trade them for the hoses. you're one dude who will never know where i keep the car.
