I had it done by myself. Its rather time consuming than hard. Although you must need to know what you're doing first . Just read the manuals, use common sense, be patient and you should do ok.
Why did you break both roll hoop housings???

Those are expensive to replace.

They come with the roll bars inside, because the housings are welded together. There is a metal wire running through the seam that is heated and welds the plastic together.

I think you need to remove more of the interior pieces to do the job properly.

I just simple glue it back together. there are enough space along the edge where they contact to apply a good amount of glue. They stuck together for good now. I don't think I can pop it open again without breaking it.
That creates a dangerous situation in a roll-over.

While the housings themselves are not a weight bearing structure, they are not supposed to come apart in a roll over. This helps prevent head injury from broken plastic and it's sharp edges.

Your new top looks good, and I appreciate your efforts to enlighten us, but if you are going to instruct others on how to do it, please take care to do it properly.

no need to instruct them since there's already a manual plus Im pretty sure that after reading the last couple posts that you and I posted, they should know what to not do.

Is it available in yellow? I think a yellow top would look great on my berlina, I already powder coated the rims yellow, and I have a yellow carpet.

I just did this modification myself. Took me about 8 hours, and those rain panels are a pain in the a**. That was definately the hardest part.
