Those are expensive to replace.
They come with the roll bars inside, because the housings are welded together. There is a metal wire running through the seam that is heated and welds the plastic together.
I think you need to remove more of the interior pieces to do the job properly.

This helps prevent head injury from broken plastic and it's sharp edges.
Your new top looks good, and I appreciate your efforts to enlighten us, but if you are going to instruct others on how to do it, please take care to do it properly.
