Why do you say that? you can hit 300 hp on this kit on the stock headgasket doing 9-10psi. With a thicker head gasket, you'd have to increase the boost to stay at 300whp. So i'm pretty sure he's running over 8-10psi...
i meant he's probably running 8-10 psi, because he'd have more then 300 whp if it was any higher.

There might be old articles about the car commenting on the original build...

no that's not the case. It's different when you have lower compression. If he was on stock compression, you'd be correct.

example: 10psi on stock compression vs. 10psi on lowered compression....doesn't equal the same hp.

You have to increase the boost to make up the power. If he's hitting 300whp with a thicker than stock headgasket, he is likely running higher boost. Like Asura said, upwards of 15psi. I think i might have even heard Gary say somewhere between 20-25psi, but i can't remember for sure. The advantage to running a head gasket is lowered compression to lessen the stress on the motor.

I wish they were more technical. This is the only pic I have of the c-west car. The front doesn't appear to be tube frame, just their version of a proper race build similar to Opera.
