Blow-off valve BOV is an adjustable spring design to keep the valve closed under idle, cruise and boost conditions (eg 0.5 bar). Sudden throttle lift-off (eg 0.8bar) opens this style of valve to vent the pressurised air directly to atmosphere (wooshtssh).

I remember reading that the Vortech was going to have a BOV vs. bypass valve because they run at higher boost. I love that wooshtssh sound!

well, we can add randy to the list for upgraded CT with the run. we still need to figure out why my CT is a NOVI-2000 and everyone else seems to have the smaller NOVI-1000. i imagine mine is capable of more overall since the paxton site says the 2000 is for v-6/v-8 applications and the 1000 is for 4's, not sure if it supplies same amount of boost with same pulleys. we may need someone else with a stock CT/1000 unit. anyplace around where we can run 6 wide???

other problem is mike got gas.... need to make sure his bottle is empty before we run or he will cheat.
