evo... they hydrolocked by friend's engine with fuel, don't ask me how, i don't know. i just remember something a wet nos setup and a fuel line being setup wrong. *shrug* damn, the amg car didn't show... that sucks. i really wanted to show my g/f. i told her that the amg flaked out, and she said, "maybe he was busy." i replied with, "or maybe he was scared." haha.

 

Samlee, I feel bad for your friend. I would def. have the person responsible pay for the motor. The 2JZ motor ain't cheap. And I'll try again to set up the race with the amg, I don't think he was scared. Because he already ran 12.9 at the track. So he's very curious to find out what his car can do against our superchareged.

yeah. i feel bad for him too. cause it's not like his motor has 100,000 miles on it. he actually had just finished putting a BRAND NEW 2JZ in his car. he had his T66 single running strong @ around 30 lbs on the track, and it was all good. while he was at a local job rebuilding everything, he was documenting the whole thing on video and kept saying, "aem man... they're going to get it." yeah i know the SLK isn't scared, i just like messing with my girl. she really takes a strong defense on the amg cars. hehe. i really hope it happens soon too. i have to admit, those amg cars are strong and reliable out of the box.

 

I did a run with another S2000 tonight with him behind me and letting him start it as we only had a 2 lane road. When I heard him nail the throttle from a roll at about 10 to 15 MPH I would then nail it from about 10 - 15 MPH with him a car length away or so. From this 10 MPH role to 80 MPH I easily pulled 6 car lengths or more. We guessed that I can pull maybe 9 or 10 if we had a full quater mile. We do have this on video from the rear car which did also have a passenger the filmer. The video will be posted tonight and I will link it to this thread first thing in the morning.

It was at night but his HID's were lighting up my rear pretty good so should be a good movie.

The hold up was one tiny lil NPT 3/8 fitting that was missing from the first Vortech shipment that went out. But Vortech took care of it, and the next day air item came in at 3:00 today. And if I have to rate this. I would say it's a 18-20 hour of job. But then again, we like to take our time.

 

Nice job Jeff. Another satisfied customer I'm sure. Evo has worked on more S2000s than any other shop in the states that I know of. And as previously stated, they handle each car as if it was their own. Mad props. All around!
