Bwahahhaha!! ^^ I see the similarity. I live in MD and don't ever run the mandatory plate. I haven't for the last 7 years. I think I've recieved 2-3 tickets for not having a front plate in that time. Paying the fine is worth it to me because the front plate is such an eyesore.

As for running the tag in the windshield, that's the worst place to run it. Do you really want to loose your life in a minor fender bender because a liscense plate cut your head in half. Think about where that thing would go flying if someone rear ended you. Scalp your punkass like Cherokee. Woot woot!!

 

I'm glad NC doesn't require a front plate. If they did, I would still run it in the middle of the bumper. It just looks lop-sided to me where you have it mounted and IMO attracts more attention to the ugly plate. I know you didn't want to block the air flow to the intercooler but this was and still is my favorite solution. Others may disagree but they are entitled. for your creativity though.

mythbusters did an episode on it, wont hurt you at all, doesnt contain enough mass to do much more then bounce off you, which im sure would not tickle but its not gonna maim you
