Default GPW AP2 this past fall

HI,

Just thought I would post some pics from this past fall that I took. The car has been a work in progress and a nightmare. I bought it sight unseen from a Subaru dealer in Atlanta . After getting it home The summer of 2010, I decided to have a complete paint job done to the car. The guy that painted my 01 Spa Yellow S2K did this one. He had the car for 16 weeks which was crazy. The summer of 2011 was almost over by the time I got the car back. LOng story short I over paid and was ripped off by someone I thought was a friend. The doors do not match the rest of the car. It drives my crazy. I am going to try and have them fixed this coming year. Anyway, here are a few pics:

A bunch of things will be touched up next year. Center caps will be paint, doors will possibly be fixed and I have a PFab Twin Scroll Turbo kit waiting.

Nick

P.S For all of you white wheel owners, what suggestions do you have to keep them clean? I drive 2 miles and they are already crazy dirty.

you could always use wheel wax to keep them clean. I am white on white and mine stay clean for at least two or three weeks, just hose it off with water and it is as good as new. I put over 5 coats of wheel wax on my bright whites before i installed the tires. I put it on the face, back of the face, lip, and wheel barrels.

Armor All Wheel Protectant.

Picture of my buddy's wheels with the protectant with race brakes, and my other buddy in the white evo X without protectant with race brakes.

Thanks for the info on the wheels. I had put 2 coats of collinite wax on them, but it still seems like they get dirty. Might have to try a few different brands and also might have to try that Armor all protectant. If they don't work, I might have to pick a different color wheel.

Turbo kit should be installed and ready to go arounf April 1st. I am going to take it to evans tuning to get it tuned. They seem like the best tuner that is close to me.

it also depends on how the wheel was painted, mine were powdercoated and they are gloss, smooth like glass. I have a friend who has white wheels that were painted and retained some of the cast feel of oem wheels. Both of ours were waxed and identical stock pads on our cars. His dust sticks so much more, im assuming because it is easier for the dust to sit in the small divots in the cast. just a thought?
