I Guess because it's titanium it's not welded....I'm not sure about the interaction between Stainless and Titanium when welding....

wait, so the tip isn't welded to the canister? is this the same for other exhaust systems that are mainly stainless steel, but have a titanium tip?

My ARK Dual had the same style silencer but the tip's were welded to the mufler..... This is the only exhaust system i know of with the combination stainless and TI

no the T1r uses rivets.

when they get old they get loose, and start to rattle like hell.

You can't weld stainless and Ti together. Most people use rivets like T1R. The greddy TiC is unique in that the 3 bolts that hold in the silencer, also hold on the tip--so you don't get the annoying rattling when the rivets get loose, and you don't have ugly extra holes in the tip for a silencer like other brands.
